Offset Printing: A Technology Hard to be replaced!

First printing was being done using wooden blocks, being known as woodblock printing. Since then, it’s a roller-coaster ride to reach the stage of offset printing.  It was first started in England by Robert Barclay. From that time, it continues to dominate the commercial printing domain. Offset printing service developed so much because of the quality of paper and ink, durability of the plates used, cost-effectiveness and usefulness in doing bulk work.

Nowadays offset printing services are used extensively in newspaper industry. The other industries such as books and advertisement industry are also using it. An offset printing service is a very complicated process. Though it may seem very easy and simple at first sight, it’s really a   complex process. There are three parts-a printing plate cylinder, an impression cylinder, a rubber-wrapped blanket cylinder.

The process is like this-first the printing plate is e exposed to ink, then the image is transferred to the rubber on the blanket cylinder and again that is brought back to the paper. As the paper is held against the blanket cylinder, the image is finally transferred to the paper.

Next, Offset printing opens up your creative side in printing materials. One such aspect of this is bindery printing; it makes you to take advantage of insert printing that can create insert advertising materials for a newspaper or magazine. It includes another aspect such as circular printing services, which prints regular advertisements that helps in disseminating news about your service, products and promotions.

We at APM Print Works have mastered in offset printing technology and develop products include banners, signs, vehicle wraps & graphics, window graphics, floor graphics, wall displays, trade & display and other promotional & apparels.  Experts believe that today, offset technology is the most efficient and cost effective printing solution. It’s hard to be replaced. Though new technology keeps evolving in their respective segments, they are bound to coexist with offset instead of looking for a way to substitute it.
